The Bell of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
The Church Bell rings the hours of prayer,
Explicitly, its chimes we hear;
To call all worshippers to pray,
At the appointed hour of each Lord's day.

Its tones are scattered far and wide,
Proclaimed as by a roaming cry,
And onward goes its sound again,
Perpetually its cry remains:

The Bell can guide a soul from sin,
When motioned by its inward ring,
And thus responsing to the Bell,
The vilest sinner can do well.

The Bell is wonderful indeed,
Can speak, while it intercedes,
Directing what we ought to do,
The Church's service to pursue.

Lo, when the bride steps in the Church,
The Bell rings out a happy note,
And when on the child God's blessing lay,
The tolling bell comes into play.

And when the funeral Bell extends,
A final note to some good friend,
St. Andrew's Bell though single be,
Brings to that soul, hopes of Eternity.
